Connor Law boxes a near perfect fight against durable Francis Tchoffo at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh. The classy performance shown live on Spike Tv is sure to breathe new levels of exposure into the young fighters career.
The Scotsman used his vast height advantage to box long from a southpaw stance. A crisp jab and a front foot spin off was the key, as he continued to bamboozle the Frenchman. Try as he may, Tchoffo could not put anything together as he pressured forward. Unfortunetely his power levels did not reflect his imppresive frame and the 24 year old continued to pick him off from rage with jabs, counter lefts and that ever present spin off.
Law may have made things easier for himself in the final rounds by sticking with this strategy. However he began to hold his feet in the center, block and counter from the inside. Though he may very well have been practicing his inside defence against an opponent far bellow his level. The man from Kelty was at times unlucky not to get the stoppage, after wobbling and heavily damaging the eye of his opponent. However Tchoffo lived up to his durable reputation and Law had to settle for a dominating points win, taking every round bar a share of one.
Connor Law is now undefeated in ten and is very much a part of the re-emergrence of high class Scottish boxing.
